Waynesville, North Carolina based artist Carol Fetty painting a portrait painting of a woman's face at her easel in her art studio.

"Using a brush and paint, I love to transform a plain white canvas into a thing of beauty. As I work creating texture and lines, a figure or object emerges and shows me what it wants to become.
I am a story teller.
My hope is to connect with the viewer in personal and a emotional way."

THE

Inspiration

A person once asked Picasso to scribble something on a napkin, claiming they would pay whatever Picasso felt it was worth.
Picasso complied then said, "That will be $10,000."
"But you did that in 30 seconds!" the person replied.
"No," Picasso said, "it has taken me 40 years to do that."

Carol is influenced by many great artists before her. She has woven a lifetime of inspiration into her work with stunning results. Her observations are conveyed through symbolism and paint, the emotion drips off the canvas and influences the mood of the whole room.
